Ducky Bhai’s physical remand extended for two more days by NCCIA

Web desk: A Lahore judicial magistrate on Wednesday extended the physical remand of YouTuber Saadur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, for two more days in a case linked to the promotion of illegal online gambling apps.

Previously, Ducky Bhai had filed an appeal against the approval of his physical remand by the judicial magistrate.

According to reports, the appeal was submitted in the Lahore Sessions Court through his lawyer, Chaudhry Usman Ali, and the Sessions Court admitted it for hearing.

In his petition, Ducky Bhai had argued that the judicial magistrate approved a four-day physical remand without properly examining the facts, requesting the court to declare the remand order void.

The court had issued a notice to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and directed it to submit a written response by September 1.

Earlier, the detention of YouTuber Saadur Rehman had been extended for allegedly promoting online gambling applications.

The well-known content creator had been arrested on August 16 at Lahore airport by the NCCIA over charges of promoting gambling and betting platforms.

According to details, a Lahore judicial magistrate had ruled that the YouTuber would remain in NCCIA custody for another four days.
