Web Desk: Largely dry weather is set to prevail across most parts of Pakistan over the next 12 hours, while daytime temperatures are expected to climb in central and southern regions, the Pakistan Meteorological Department said.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy skies may develop in northern and western areas of Balochistan, offering slight variation from otherwise stable conditions nationwide.

Early morning readings showed moderate to cool conditions in several urban centers. Islamabad recorded temperatures between 13 and 14 degrees Celsius, while Lahore ranged from 20 to 21 degrees. Karachi remained comparatively warmer at 26 degrees.

In the northwest, Peshawar registered between 17 and 18 degrees, whereas Quetta recorded temperatures between 11 and 13 degrees. Gilgit reported cooler conditions between 8 and 11 degrees, and hill station Murree saw temperatures ranging from 7 to 8 degrees. Muzaffarabad recorded between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius.

Across Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, conditions are expected to remain mostly dry, although some areas may experience partial cloud cover.

Partly cloudy skies are likely in Srinagar, Pulwama, Baramula, Anantnag and Shopian. In Jammu, a mix of dry and partly cloudy weather is forecast, while Leh may see conditions ranging from partly cloudy to overcast.

Morning temperatures reflected chilly conditions in several areas. Srinagar, Pulwama and Shopian recorded around 7 to 8 degrees Celsius, while Baramula and Anantnag ranged between 6 and 7 degrees. Jammu registered between 16 and 17 degrees, and Leh remained at freezing point, around zero degrees Celsius.

Overall, stable weather patterns are expected to persist, with dry conditions dominating much of the country. However, rising daytime temperatures in central and southern regions could intensify the ощущение of heat as the day progresses.
