District Administration Islamabad has issued an official notice announcing the temporary closure of several hiking trails in the federal capital. According to the directive, Trails 2, 3, 4, and 5, along with the trail behind Saidpur Village, will remain closed to the general public on April 12, 2026.


The administration stated that the decision has been taken in light of ongoing security protocols. While specific details were not disclosed, authorities emphasized that such measures are necessary for smooth management of activities taking place in the in the federal territory.

Security officials have been directed to strictly implement the orders and to ensure strict compliance to the said instructions from public side.


Officials have urged citizens, particularly hikers and tourists, to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and avoid visiting the restricted trails during the closure period. Alternative recreational spots in the city remain open for visitors.
