Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has said that bringing United States and Iran to the negotiating table is not a miracle, but the result of a long and continuous diplomatic process.
Speaking to a foreign news agency, he said that persistence, patience, and consistent efforts by all parties played a key role behind this development. These elements remained central to the diplomatic engagements that took place over the past few weeks.
Rizwan Saeed Sheikh further stated that Pakistan’s efforts were positively received by all relevant stakeholders, and a constructive approach helped pave the way for a ceasefire and the initiation of talks.
He emphasized that the very start of negotiations is a major success, adding that Pakistan is ready to play any required role for as long as needed to help reach a potential agreement between the United States and Iran.
Meanwhile, delegations from both the United States and Iran have arrived in Islamabad for a round of peace talks, with officials from both sides expressing cautious optimism.
Diplomatic sources say the discussions will focus on meaningful ceasefire and building a framework for long-term stability, as Pakistan facilitates dialogue between the two sides.
