Twitter has permanently suspended

Web Desk: X formerly known as Twitter has permanently suspended two major accounts linked to the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) that were spreading propaganda against Pakistan and its armed forces.

The suspended accounts, named “Balochistan Fact” and “Bahoot Baloch,” were used to share false information targeting state institutions and to promote terrorist activities under alleged Indian backing. Authorities said the accounts had consistently circulated misleading content aimed at undermining public trust and national security.

Following an internal review, Twitter permanently closed both accounts, officials added. The move is part of broader efforts to curb the spread of disinformation and extremist content on social media platforms.

Security analysts and government officials welcomed the action, stating that limiting the online presence of such accounts strengthens protection for state institutions and the general public. They emphasised that monitoring and regulating social media remains a key part of Pakistan’s strategy against propaganda and extremist messaging.
