Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan on Friday ordered all provincial departments to immediately activate their social media accounts to share timely updates on development projects with the public.

He presided over a meeting of the Secretaries Committee, where officials reviewed staff attendance, the use of social media accounts, transparent recruitment to vacant posts, and monitoring of development schemes.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that providing basic facilities to citizens is the provincial government’s top priority. He stressed that people should have timely access to healthcare, education, water, infrastructure, and other essential services. He directed all officers and employees to remain present at their postings to serve the public efficiently.

He said that active social media use will help build direct communication between the government and the public. He also informed that the Monitoring and Evaluation Section has been fully activated to oversee development projects.

Shakeel Qadir added that ensuring timely completion of projects will help restore the public’s trust in the provincial government. He instructed all secretaries to fill vacant posts in their departments strictly on merit.
