Pakistan’s well-known actress and model Ayesha Omar has, after several years, openly spoken about the controversy surrounding her leaked vacation photos, saying that the images were shared on social media without her permission.

In a recent interview, Ayesha Omar revealed that she was on a holiday in Thailand with her close friend and actress Maria Wasti when her private photos were leaked.

She said that in one of the pictures she was seen wearing a swimsuit, while other images showed her in summer outfits and skirts.

The actress stated that after the photos went viral, she faced severe criticism, and it also negatively affected her professional career.

She added that at the time, several producers prioritized a certain social image for women, which resulted in her losing some projects.

Ayesha Omar also dismissed claims regarding extramarital relationships, calling them false and baseless.

She emphasized that sharing private photos without consent is a violation of privacy and consent.

She further said she is now working with an NGO to raise awareness about the misuse of personal data and images.

According to her, the purpose of speaking about it after many years is not only to share her story but also to educate people that spreading someone’s private information or images without permission is a serious issue with long-term consequences.

Following her statement, social media users have expressed mixed reactions.
