Organisers have cut ticket prices due to lower-than-expected demand. The price has been reduced from 475 dirhams to 350 dirhams after fans complained about the high costs.
The Pakistan-India showdown is scheduled for September 14 in Dubai.
Asia Cup 2025 Pakistan vs India tickets unsold
Tickets for the much-anticipated Pakistan-India clash in the Asia Cup are still unsold. The match, scheduled for Sunday, has seen sluggish demand, prompting organisers to cut prices.
According to the reports, the ticket price has been reduced from 475 dirhams to 350 dirhams after sales fell short of expectations. This means the ticket prices have gone from approximately Rs36,417 to Rs26,833.
Pakistan-India clash will be a tough batting and bowling contest: Mike Hesson
The coach of Pakistan’s cricket team, Mike Hesson, has said during a press conference in Dubai that the Pakistan-India match is always interesting. He added that there will be a tough batting and bowling competition between the two teams.
Mike Hesson said that the Dubai pitch is a bit different from Sharjah, inspection is part of the game, and that we have multi-skill players.
Head Coach Mike Hesson also said that Pakistani batters batted brilliantly even on the difficult pitch of Sharjah.
India beat UAE by nine wickets and 93 balls
The Asia Cup 2025 has already begun in Dubai. On Tuesday, India crushed the United Arab Emirates in a one-sided contest.
The UAE were bowled out for their lowest-ever total of 57 runs.
Only Alishan (22) and captain Muhammad Waseem (19) offered resistance, while nine batters failed to reach double figures.
India chased the 58-run target in just five overs. Abhishek Sharma smashed 30 off 16 balls before being dismissed by Junaid Siddique, the only successful UAE bowler.
Shubman Gill (20*) and skipper Suryakumar Yadav (7*) finished the game with ease.
This was India’s biggest victory in terms of balls remaining in Asia Cup history.
Afghanistan beat Hong Kong by 94 runs in Asia Cup 2025 opener
Afghanistan launched their Asia Cup 2025 campaign defeating Hong Kong by 94 runs in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
Sediqullah Atal (73*) and Azmatullah Omarzai (53) struck contrasting half-centuries to set up a strong total of 188 for 6 in 20 overs.
Hong Kong’s top order faltered early, turning the chase into a one-sided affair.
They finished at 94 for 9, with Babar Hayat contributing 39 runs. Gulbadin Naib starred with the ball, claiming 2 for 8.
The result was Afghanistan’s dominant statement and stood as the third-biggest margin in Men’s Asia Cup history.
