A joint engagement by the Army and Bannu Police near the Kashu Check Post led to a successful counter-terrorism operation. It resulted in the confirmed killing of eight Fitna al khawarij. The action began on November 21, 2025. Khawarij first fired upon a CTD/Police patrol near Hilal Chowk, Domail, Bannu. Police and CTD then encircled the khawarij in a compound. Six Special Highly Trained Troops (SHTs) reinforced the police. A heavy exchange of fire followed immediately.

The clearance operation was conducted under the CO of 8 LCB. Six bodies were recovered from the compound. An additional Khawarij was killed while trying to flee, and one was injured.

One soldier was injured and evacuated to CMH Bannu. His condition is stable. Intelligence was continuously shared by 207 SS Bannu and ISI CT.

Forces recovered a significant cache of weapons and personal items. Recovered weapons included an SMG and an M-4 rifle. They also found numerous magazines and over 80 rounds of ammunition. The items suggest a group with foreign links and multiple identities.

Recovered documents include three distinct CNICs. These belong to Saqib Noor, Yasir Ullah, and Qadardad Khan. Saqib Noor’s belongings included a UAE Emirates Card and a UAE National Guard Card. Yasir Ullah had a card from a local association of Islamic schools. Foreign currency, including UAE Riyal and Uzbekistani Cash, was also recovered.

Communication devices like four smartphones and twelve SIM cards were found. This information indicates the cross-border nature of the militant activity.
