Armed Forces pay tribute to Sowar Hussain Shaheed on 54th Anniversary

Rawalpindi: The Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Air Staff and Chief of Naval Staff, paid rich tribute to Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on his 54th martyrdom anniversary, the ISPR said on Wednesday.

According to ISPR, Sowar Muhammad Hussain showed exceptional courageousness in the Zafarwal–Shakargarh sector in the 1971 war. He guided gun crews with exactness and helped destroy multiple enemy tanks by accurately identifying Indian positions under intense fire.

Sowar Hussain while carrying out his duties on the frontline, was hit by an enemy bullet and embraced martyrdom, sacrificed his life in defence of the country.

The armed forces paid rich homage to the martyred supreme sacrifices and timeless heroism, saying that bravery of Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed will continuous to inspire generations.  

The Services chiefs added that Pakistan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty will be protected at all costs.

According to ISPR that the nation salutes its brave so of the soil and the sacrifices of martyrs will always be remembered.
