Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that cross-border terrorism will be crushed with the full force of the state with Pakistan Armed forces fully prepared to counter all sorts of challenges.
According to the ISPR, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the National Defence University (NDU), where he addressed graduating officers of the National Security and War Course.
The ISPR said the course was attended by officers from all three branches of the armed forces. During his address, the Field Marshal highlighted the changing nature of warfare and expressed confidence in the armed forces’ capabilities, high morale, and operational preparedness.
Speaking to the participants, he said institutions such as the NDU are preparing future military and civilian leadership to counter hybrid threats.
The Army Chief said all attempts by proxy elements backed by hostile intelligence agencies would fail, adding that cross-border terrorism would be crushed with the full force of the state.
The Field Marshal remarked that the Armed Forces remain fully cognizant of state-sponsored attempts by hostile intelligence agencies to destabilize Pakistan. Efforts of such proxies and networks, who operate under the tutelage of hostile intelligence agencies are futile and will not be allowed to undermine Pakistan’s internal security and economic prosperity.
Field Marshal Asim Munir said Pakistan’s armed forces are fully aware of the activities of hostile intelligence agencies and will never allow proxy groups to undermine the country’s peace and prosperity. He added that, with the support of the nation, the armed forces would ensure the elimination of the hideouts of proxy elements and completely eradicate facilitators of terrorists.
According to the ISPR, the Field Marshal further said that strategic insight and institutional professionalism are essential to tackling complex strategic challenges. He added that wars are not won through rhetoric or political slogans, but through faith, unity, and discipline.
