Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) to be observed tomorrow

Eid Milad-ul-Nabi is being celebrated today with great religious fervor and solemnity across the country. Today is public holiday.

The day dawned with a thirty-one-gun salute in the Federal Capital and a twenty-one-gun salute at all provincial capitals. It is a public holiday today.

Special prayers were offered after the Fajr prayer for unity of the Muslim Ummah and the progress and prosperity of the country.

The main event of the day will be the International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference to be held in the Federal Capital today.

The theme of the conference is Protection, Development and Character Building of the Younger Generation in the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam.

Milad processions are being taken out in all cities in which Ulema and Khateeb are highlighting all aspects of life of Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ, stressing adherence to his teachings and Sunnah.

Streets, roads, buildings, mosques and houses have been decorated with green buntings, flags, colorful lights to mark this auspicious occasion.

President, PM urge younger to seek guidance from Seerat of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have urged upon the younger generation to draw guidance from the Seerat of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) make high moral character, hard work and service to humanity the purpose of their lives.

In their separate message on Eid Milad-ul-Nabi they extended heartfelt felicitations to the entire nation and the Muslim Ummah on the blessed birth anniversary of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH)

 The President said it is incumbent upon us to practically promote justice and fairness, tolerance, inter-sectarian and interfaith harmony, and the protection of human dignity in our society.

He said this day reminds us of the great blessing of Allah Almighty through which humanity was granted the perfect path of faith, guidance, justice, mercy and noble character.

The Prime Minister said in order to overcome the economic, social and moral challenges confronting us today, we must mould our collective lives in accordance with the perfect guidance provided by Islam.

The Prime Minster called for playing role in making Pakistan a strong, prosperous, peaceful and welfare state.
