WEBDESK: Renowned singer Ali Zafar has announced a special fundraising concert to support flood-affected families in Pakistan.
The devastating floods this year have caused widespread destruction, hitting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Punjab the hardest. The threat has now reached parts of Sindh as well.
Ali Zafar shared the news via a video on Instagram, saying the concert will take place on 27 September at the Alhamra Cultural Complex in Lahore. Several other well-known singers will join him on stage for the event.
“This is not just a musical show; it is a call for humanity,” Ali Zafar said. “Let us all come together to bring hope to those still waiting for our help. Let’s stand with the people who need us the most.”
He urged everyone to support flood victims, noting that many have lost their life savings in the disaster. The singer also hinted at surprise performances by other famous artists, whose names will be announced later.
All proceeds from the concert will go towards relief and rehabilitation efforts for affected families, organised by the Ali Zafar Foundation.
This year’s floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Punjab have claimed over 1,000 lives, displaced millions, and destroyed thousands of acres of crops, leaving families in urgent need of aid.
