Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister’s (PM) sister Aleema Khan has ended protest near Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail. According to the report, Aleema Khan called off the sit-in after successful talks with the officials.
Earlier, Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) (Investigations) Rana Tanveer arrived at the scene for a dialogue with Imran Khan’s sisters to end the protest.
The private media channel reported that with the efforts of Allama Raja Nasir, negotiations between Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan and the police were successful, and Aleema Khan has announced the end of the sit-in by PTI workers on Adiala Road.
Aleema Khan announced the end of the sit-in late at night today. However, Rawalpindi Police assured Imran Khan’s sisters that they would soon be able to meet the PTI founder.
Earlier, Aleema Khan announced the end of the sit-in and left the protest with her other sisters.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, including three sisters of Imran Khan, were protesting in front of Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi. During the protest, female police officials took Imran Khan’s sisters into custody, and after an investigation, police released three of them.
According to PTI’s MNA Shahid Khattak, Islamabad High Court (IHC) instructed officials to allow Imran Khan’s sisters to meet him in Adiala jail, but police started a crackdown on PTI workers present in front of Adiala Jail. He said that police used water cannon to disperse protesters, and a female police officer tried to arrest Imran Khan’s sister, including Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan, and Naureen Niazi.
PTI leader Meena Khan Afridi also said while speaking to journalists outside Adiala that “we will not surrender and continue our struggle.”
Aleema Khan also stated in an interaction with journalists outside Adiala that “lawyers’ movement will start from here today.” On the question regarding strategy, Aleema Khan said, “PTI workers are my strategy.”
