JAAC propaganda

A misleading video is circulating on social media today claiming that an individual carrying a white flag and a Quran was killed by law enforcement. This claim is completely false. In reality, the video shows the killing of a terrorist by another terrorist.

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) spokesperson stated that some individuals are using old videos to spread false propaganda aimed at creating sympathy for terrorists and damaging the image of law enforcement agencies.

The spokesperson added that spreading such false and misleading content causes unnecessary fear and panic among the public. Those found involved in spreading fake news and propaganda on social media will be identified and brought to justice.

The public is urged not to trust or share unverified information on social media. Before making any decision, verify the facts and rely only on authentic and credible sources. Sharing false information can contribute to hatred, fear, and unrest.

Police authorities further said that “our first priority is to protect the rule of law, peace, and public safety. We are committed to preventing all forms of fake news and unlawful propaganda and will take action against those responsible in accordance with the law”.
