A grand event was held in Denmark to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day ahead of 14 August, with overseas Pakistanis showing up in huge number.

The celebration, featured patriotic songs, enthusiastic chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan) echoing through the streets.

Back at home, earlier, it was announced by the Sindh Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah, that this year’s Independence Day celebrations will be held under the theme Marka-e-Haq.

Speaking at a press conference alongside ministers Sharjeel Memon and Nasir Hussain Shah, the CM said that Pakistan has achieved a historic victory, and this moment must be celebrated across the country.

The celebrations will not be limited to 14 August. Instead, events will begin on August 1 and continue for 14 days. Both the federal and provincial governments will join hands to organise these activities.

“We celebrate August 14 every year,” Murad said, “but this time it must also reflect our recent success. People need to understand the true value of freedom.”

This year’s Independence Day is set to be more than just a one-day event, it’s a nationwide expression of unity, pride, and renewed spirit.

With celebrations stretching across two weeks, the focus is not only on marking Pakistan’s freedom but also on honouring recent achievements under the banner of Marka-e-Haq.

As the skies roar with rehearsals and cities prepare for festivities, citizens are encouraged to participate with enthusiasm while appreciating the deeper meaning behind the occasion.
