Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir has said that Pakistan has made it clear that any Indian aggression will be met with a crushing response.

During a meetup with Pakistani community in the US, he highlighted that the recent Indian aggression, carried out under shameful pretexts, gravely violated Pakistan’s sovereignty and resulted in the martyrdom of innocent civilians.

He also said that because of India, the region was brought to the brink of a dangerous war.

Talking about Overseas Pakistanis, he said that Pakistan’s progress and prosperity is linked to Pakistanis living worldwide. “The loyalty and attachment of overseas Pakistanis to the homeland is an open reality”, he added.

He noted that in the time of need, overseas Pakistanis never forget their country and are the first to respond to calls for aid.

COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir is confident that US-Pakistan trade deal will benefit Pakistan

Moreover, Field Marshal Asim Marshal spoke about the trade deal, saying, “With a possible trade agreement with the US, significant investments are expected.”

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan has also achieved notable successes on the international relations front. Implementation of various memorandums of understanding with the US, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and China is underway. Economic cooperation and investment will be promoted.

The visit comes shortly after he went to the US in June on a five-day official visit, where he met with US President Donald Trump over luncheon, becoming the first serving army chief to have a face-to-face meeting with a sitting US president.

During the trip in June, Field Marshal Munir stressed the “immense potential for a broader, multidimensional relationship built upon mutual respect” with Washington.
