Pakistan’s batting once again failed in the Lord’s Test, as the entire team was bowled out for 110 runs in reply to England’s first-innings total of 290. England reached 81 for 3 in their second innings, extending their overall lead to 261 runs.
On the second day of the second Test at Lord’s, England resumed their innings at 248 for 9 and were eventually bowled out for 290. Mohammad Abbas took four wickets for Pakistan, while Mohammad Ali dismissed three batters.
Pakistan’s batting line-up once again collapsed, with the entire team dismissed for 110 in the first innings.
Eight Pakistani batters failed to reach double figures. Shan Masood scored 1, Abdullah Shafique 5, Babar Azam 8, Mohammad Rizwan 7 and Mohammad Abbas 2, while Ali Usman and Khurram Shahzad scored one run each.
Aizaan Awais top-scored for Pakistan with 46 runs, while Saud Shakeel made 16. Opening batter Imam-ul-Haq did not come out to bat due to a calf injury.
Ollie Robinson took four wickets for England, while Jofra Archer claimed three. England secured a first-innings lead of 180 runs over Pakistan.
By the close of play on the second day, England had reached 81 for 3 in their second innings, giving them an overall lead of 261 runs.
For England, Emilio Gay was unbeaten on 30 and Harry Brook was not out on 7.
