Former Pakistani actress and Hamza Ali Abbasi’s wife, Naimal Khawar, has criticised people for commenting on her weight and making assumptions about her body.
Recently, Naimal shared several pictures from an event on social media. After the photos went viral and were reposted by multiple social media pages, some users began speculating that she might be pregnant.
Responding to the speculation, the former actress took to her Instagram Story to call out those making unsolicited comments about her body.
“It is astonishing how people feel no hesitation in commenting on women’s bodies. Yes, my weight may have changed,” Naimal wrote.
She added that she may no longer look the way she did five years ago, noting that motherhood can change a woman in numerous ways.
“Motherhood changes you in more ways than you can imagine,” she said.
Naimal further explained that several factors, including age, hormones, stress, health, lifestyle and pregnancy, can cause changes in a woman’s body.
She stressed that none of these factors gives anyone the right to publicly scrutinise or criticise a woman’s body or weight.
