The reason why renowned Pakistani showbiz actors Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa were not selected for national honours this year has come to light.
Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa are considered prominent stars of Pakistan’s film and television industry. Both actors have showcased their acting skills in numerous successful films and dramas and have received various awards at both national and international levels. However, they have yet to receive a national honour.
According to the report, the names of Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa were once again absent from this year’s list of national honours, while some of their contemporaries and even younger actors, including Mehwish Hayat and Sajal Aly, have already received national honours.
Now, Sindh’s Minister for Culture Zulfiqar Ali Shah has made an important revelation about the matter during a conversation.
According to the Culture Minister, the Sindh government had recommended the names of Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa for national honours, but the federal government did not approve the awards for them.
The statement came on an occasion when Fahad Mustafa’s father and renowned actor Salahuddin Tunio was also present at the event.
