Pakistani actress, host and model Fiza Ali has come out in support of actress Nimra Khan and strongly criticised her husband.
Nimra Khan recently got married for the second time and shared beautiful pictures and videos from her marriage on social media. However, within a few days, reports of differences between the couple began to emerge.
Later, Nimra Khan and her husband allegedly started sharing statements and posts against each other on social media. Nimra’s husband also used the phrase “Good Riddance.”
Reacting to the matter, Fiza Ali supported Nimra Khan and said it was beyond her understanding how a person who had made Nimra his life partner only a short while ago could now use words such as “Good Riddance” for her.
Fiza Ali termed the behaviour inappropriate and openly expressed solidarity with Nimra, saying that relationships do not always work out and people may go their separate ways—that is life. However, ending a relationship does not mean that you should also destroy a woman’s dignity.
She said it was inappropriate to address any woman in such a manner, especially when she had only recently become your wife. “I stand with the actress in this matter. Nimra, keep your head held high. Someone leaving your life does not diminish your worth,” she said.
Fiza Ali’s statement has also drawn mixed reactions from social media users.
