Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is set to marry his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, in a simple private ceremony on July 5.
Speaking to the media during the screening of a series by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, Aamir said the wedding would take place at his home, with only family members and a few close friends in attendance.
“July 5 is a very special day for us. We are holding a small family ceremony at home. We request your prayers and good wishes as we begin this new chapter of our lives,” Aamir said.
According to media reports, children from both Aamir and Gauri’s previous relationships will attend the wedding. The couple is not planning to host a grand reception.
Recently, during an interview, Aamir Khan openly spoke about his relationship with Gauri, saying: “I am very lucky that I have got Gauri. She is a wonderful woman and I feel inner peace with her. My relationship with my former wives (Kiran Rao and Reena Dutta) was also very deep, but it did not work out. Now with Gauri’s arrival, I feel that I am complete.”
This will be Aamir Khan’s third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta in 1986 and later to filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. Both marriages ended in divorce.
Reports say Aamir and Gauri first met around 25 years ago. They reconnected years later, and their friendship eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship. Aamir publicly introduced Gauri as his girlfriend during celebrations marking his 60th birthday last year.
