Shan Masood is likely to be retained as captain for the tour of the West Indies and England.
According to details, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s pre-season camp for red-ball cricketers, held in Lahore, has concluded.
According to sources, the squad for the West Indies and England series will be announced on July 6 or 7, with Shan Masood likely to continue as captain.
Sources say that Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan have recovered from their fitness issues, and both players are now available for selection.
This time, the PCB will announce the probable players for both series through a press conference.
One or two changes will be made to the squad selected for the West Indies and England series.
Keeping in view the conditions in the West Indies and England, there is a possibility that a greater number of fast bowlers will be included in the squad for both series.
Among the spinners, Sajid Khan is an automatic choice, while Ali Usman may also be considered. Young batters Abdullah Fazal and Azan Awais are also expected to be given an opportunity.
The national team’s final training camp will be held in Islamabad from July 9 to August 12, and the team will depart for the West Indies on July 13.
