A significant development has emerged for social media users and freelancers in Pakistan regarding earning money through Facebook, with opportunities to generate income in dollars now being considered more accessible than before.
Previously, Facebook maintained strict eligibility requirements for content monetization, which in some cases included conditions such as 10,000 followers and 6 million minutes of watch time.
However, these criteria have now been revised for certain accounts and pages. Under the new update, some users are being required to achieve 300,000 views within 28 days to gain access to monetization tools. Once this target is met, the relevant page or account may become eligible for content monetization.
Experts say the new requirement is relatively easier to meet than previous thresholds, potentially creating more earning opportunities for emerging content creators.
However, the updated criteria do not apply to all accounts or pages and are currently available only to selected users. It is important to note that compliance with Facebook’s monetization policies and community guidelines remains mandatory for all users seeking to earn through the platform.
