A user had asked Noman Ijaz whether, in his opinion, income earned through showbiz is halal or haram.
Renowned Pakistani actor Noman Ijaz has given a clear response to the debate over whether income earned from the showbiz industry is haram.
Responding to criticism about showbiz earnings, Noman Ijaz said that instead of pointing fingers at others, people should first examine their own actions and way of thinking.
Known for his outspoken views and candid opinions on social issues, the actor shared a message sent by a friend in a YouTube video, discussing the distinction between halal and haram.
Noman Ijaz said that Allah has naturally endowed human beings with the ability to recognize many things. A person can identify heat by touch, hardness with their teeth, bitterness with their tongue, and foulness with their nose. However, the distinction between halal and haram has been left to a person’s own conscience, awareness, and judgment.
He questioned why, if people can distinguish between halal and haram, they still engage in wrongdoing and seek unlawful earnings. According to him, the real issue is not recognition but the choices people make.
While many social media users appreciated his remarks, one user asked him what he personally thought about the income he earns from his own profession.
The user asked: “In your opinion, is the income you earn from your field halal or haram?”
In response, Noman Ijaz gave a brief but clear answer, saying that the question reflected a particular mindset. He advised the user to stay happy and added that people should sometimes evaluate themselves instead of focusing on others.
Following his response, a fresh debate emerged on social media regarding showbiz, art, and religious perspectives. Some users supported the actor’s stance, arguing that no blanket judgment can be made about any profession, while others revived the religious debate surrounding the showbiz industry.
