The National Assembly has approved a congratulatory resolution regarding Pakistan’s efforts and mediation in the peace agreement between the United States and Iran.
During the session of the National Assembly, Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar sought permission to present the resolution in the House. After approval, he read out the resolution, which was unanimously passed by the House.
According to the text of the resolution, the National Assembly of Pakistan notes with great satisfaction and pride this historic diplomatic achievement, which has taken the form of an agreement signed between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran aimed at ending confrontation and establishing a framework for peace and stability.
The House also acknowledges the negative impact of this conflict on regional peace and stability, as well as its effects on global economic stability and energy security.
The resolution states that the House pays tribute to the services of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and the entire negotiating team involved in the process. Their sincere and tireless efforts have elevated Pakistan’s global standing as a credible and neutral mediator.
The House also congratulates the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America and appreciates their wise leadership, which led to the successful completion of negotiations and the signing of this historic peace agreement. This agreement is considered an important milestone toward promoting peace, stability, and mutual cooperation in the region and the world.
