Five members of the banned Joint Public Action Committee have announced their disassociation from the banned movement in Azad Kashmir.

Those declaring their separation include Syed Faisal Gilani, Ahsan Shabbir Shani, Mohsin Khalil, Shabbir Niyalvi, and Raja Sultan.

The individuals said they were distancing themselves from the committee in light of its recent violent activities. They urged the people of Azad Kashmir not to remain associated with the banned committee.

Meanwhile, a partial strike was observed following a call by the banned Public Action Committee, with some markets and shops remaining closed while others stayed open.

In Kotli, clashes erupted between police and protesters at various locations. Several people were injured as a result of tear gas shelling and stone-pelting.

The disassociated members said that they were repentant and resentful of their previous affiliation with the anti-state JAAC and that they took this decision due to the violent and inhumane activities of the banned moment.

They further urged the public to refrain from any association with the said moment in the good interest of the state to counter the Indian backed agenda of disrupting the peace and progress of the country.

It is worth noting that the anti-state activities have been strongly condemned by Kashmiri citizens from abroad, expressing strong patriotism for the motherland.
