Web Desk: The Meteorological Department has forecast rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in different parts of the country.
According to private TV channel, the Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in most plain areas of the province, including Peshawar, over the next 24 hours. According to the department, rain is also expected today in Peshawar, Swat, Chitral, Dir, and other upper regions, which is likely to make the weather pleasant.
Rain is expected at some places in the upper regions of the country, along with hailstorms, while hot weather is likely to persist in southern Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan. Rain is also expected in Kashmir and northeastern Punjab.
In the Potohar region as well, rain is expected at some places accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms, and hail may also occur. In other parts of the country, hot and dry weather is likely to continue.
The Meteorological Department said that cloudy conditions with light to moderate rainfall may also be recorded in some areas. Due to rainfall, a decrease in temperature and a reduction in heat intensity is expected. Relevant authorities have been instructed to monitor the weather situation and advise citizens to take precautionary measures.
PMD also advised citizens to stay cautious during strong winds and thunderstorms, avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather, and take safety measures especially in open areas.
