Web Desk: Pakistani actors, journalists, cricketers, and social media personalities joined millions of Muslims from around the world this year as they performed Hajj, sharing glimpses of their spiritual journey online.
The annual pilgrimage, one of Islam’s five pillars, draws believers to the holy city of Makkah where they perform a series of rituals expressing devotion and submission to God. This year, several well-known Pakistani public figures documented their experience through social media posts, offering followers a window into their time at Islam’s holiest sites.
Among those sharing moments from the pilgrimage were television host Wasim Badami and senior journalist Farah Iqrar, both of whom posted images reflecting their spiritual experience, drawing widespread appreciation and prayers from fans.
Social media personalities Kanwal Aftab and Zulqarnain Sikandar also shared visuals from the Holy Kaaba, engaging millions of followers with their updates from the sacred journey.
Former cricketers Wasim Akram and Misbah-ul-Haq were also among the Pakistani figures performing Hajj this year, posting group photographs and messages from the holy sites.
Comedian and television host Tabish Hashmi shared updates from his pilgrimage, while actor Tuba Anwar and singer Humayun Alamgir also posted reflections and images from Makkah and other sacred locations.
Actors Dur-e-Fishan Saleem and Bilal Abbas Khan also appeared in widely circulated images from the pilgrimage, prompting fans to send prayers and good wishes across social platforms.
Religious scholar Qasim Ali Shah was also among those who performed Hajj this year, according to posts shared online.
As in previous years, Pakistani public figures from entertainment, sports, and media industries continued to share their spiritual experiences, with social media platforms becoming a space for followers to express admiration, prayers, and goodwill.
