The Government of Punjab has announced three public holidays for Eid al-Adha.
According to the notification, Eid holidays will be observed across Punjab from May 26 to May 28. The holidays will fall on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Meanwhie, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced four holidays for Eid ul Adha. According to the notification, the provincial government has declared holidays from May 26 to May 29.
Besides, the federal government has announced three holidays for Eid ul Adha. There will be three public holidays from Tuesday to Thursday, May 26 to 28.
Later, the Sindh government also announced Eid ul Adha holidays. According to its notification, there will officially be four holidays in the province, from May 26 to May 29.
In addition, the State Bank of Pakistan has also announced a three-day holiday for Eid ul Adha from May 26 to 28 (Tuesday to Thursday). According to the statement, all business and office activities at the bank’s offices will remain suspended during these dates.
The statement further said that after the Eid ul Adha holidays, banks will reopen on Friday, May 29, and customers will be able to access banking services as usual.
It is noteworthy that Eid ul Adha in the country will be observed on Wednesday, May 27, while Tuesday, May 26, will be observed as the Day of Arafah.
