A large-scale sanitisation operation is going on against Fitna-al-Khawarij in Bobali area of North Waziristan where security forces eliminated between 25 and 28 militants during ongoing engagements.
Security sources further added that 12 Khawarij bodies along with two weapons have so far been recovered from the operation area. Officials added that the bodies of another seven to eight militants were visible in nearby foothills.
Security forces also captured two armed suspects during the operation from the surrounding areas. Meanwhile, 11 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted for terror activities by militants were detected and safely disposed of by BDS.
Sources also revealed that sanitisation of Bobali village has been accomplished by security Forces, while underground bunkers used by militants are currently being exploded.
Authorities further revealed that sanitisation of an alleged militant facilitation centre established inside Bobali Mosque Markaz would be conducted shortly by security forces.
It is worth noting that yesterday in the same area security forces had killed 22 militants and destroyed 11 improvised explosive devices (IEDs)
Security forces had also destroyed many militant centers and hideouts which were used as bases for terror activities. These included Minara Mosque Markaz, Nawal Mosque Markaz, Abu Hanifa School Markaz, Chotta Masjid operational hideout, underground culvert bunkers and fighting positions along the main supply route, as well as Abu Bakar Mosque and Qayyum Mosque centers.
