At least 9 Khawarij have reportedly been killed so far during a failed attack by militants in Meena and Inayat Kalay areas of Bajaur.
According to reports, Khawarij attempted multiple attacks today in Meena and Inayat Kalay, which were effectively repelled by security forces.
However, during the exchange of fire with militants, four soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom.
Security forces immediately cordoned off the area and launched a search operation for the fleeing khawarij. The operation in the area has been intensified to arrest the remaining attackers.
In relation to Bajaur, numerous rumors are being spread on social media and WhatsApp groups regarding attacks on battalion and wing headquarters; however, all such reports are baseless, and no attacker was able to enter any Pakistan Army battalion or wing headquarters.
According to security officials, the situation is now completely under control. Security forces have cordoned off the area, and a search operation is ongoing to apprehend the remaining attackers.
On the other hand, terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan made another cowardly attempt, allegedly aimed at producing content for social media, which was also foiled through a timely and strong response by security forces.
According to security sources, the terrorists attempted to attack Daran Garh police station but fled the scene after briefly staying in the area due to fear of security forces. These cowardly acts are the result of frustration among Fitna al-Hindustan elements, who have suffered continuous losses.
Sources further stated that after the attack, Fitna al-Hindustan propagated the incident on their social media accounts, which is yet another attempt at propaganda against security forces. The incident was solely meant for creating social media content and has no factual basis.
Police sources at the scene also confirmed that rumors about hostage-taking of police personnel and seizure of weapons at Daran Garh police station are completely false and fabricated.
