Pakistan announces squad for ODI series against Australia

Australia cricket team tour to Pakistan 2026

Ahead of the home ODI series against Australia, around 25 players are likely to be called up for Pakistan’s white-ball training camp.

According to sources, selectors, the captain, and the head coach have finalized a list of white-ball performers for the camp.

As part of preparations, players will feature in practice matches, with one expected to be held in Lahore and the other in Rawalpindi. The camp is likely to begin on May 15.

Sources say the probable players include Saim Ayub, Abrar Ahmed, Haider Ali, Shadab Khan, Saad Baig, Ahmed Daniyal, Faiq Butt, Faisal Akram, Hunain Shah, Aamir Jamal, Khawaja Nafay and Arafat Minhas.

Other likely inclusions are Salman Mirza, Sufiyan Muqeem, Usman Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Ali Raza, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Abdul Samad, Moaz Sadaqat, Mehran Mumtaz and Akif Javed.

White-ball players currently involved in the Test squad are not included in the list, while all-rounders Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Nawaz are also expected to miss out.

On the other hand Mitchell Marsh will lead Australia in the ODI series against Pakistan. Other members of the squad include Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Nathan Ellis, Josh Inglis, Matthew Kuhnemann, Marnus Labuschagne, Riley Meredith, Ollie Peake, Matthew Renshaw, Tanveer Sangha, Liam Scott, Matthew Short, Billy Stanlake and Adam Zampa.
