Web Desk: Pakistan has handed over 15 crew members of the Iranian vessel “Toska” to Iranian authorities after their transfer from the United States, officials confirmed on Monday.

According to Iran’s state news agency, the crew entered Iranian territory through the Ramdan border terminal in the southeastern province of Sistan and Balochistan. The handover marks a continued effort to resolve the case following recent diplomatic engagement.

Earlier, the United States transferred a total of 22 crew members from the seized vessel to Pakistan as part of what officials described as a confidence-building measure with Iran. Subsequently, six crew members were repatriated last week via a third country in the region.

Meanwhile, the remaining 15 individuals were processed and returned through Pakistan’s border channels. Officials did not disclose further operational details but indicated coordination among all parties involved.

The vessel “Toska” had been detained by U.S. authorities for allegedly violating sanctions imposed on Iran. However, recent developments suggest a gradual de-escalation in the matter, with the phased return of crew members signaling improving communication between the countries.

Going forward, it remains unclear whether additional steps will be taken regarding the vessel itself. Nevertheless, the repatriation of crew members highlights ongoing diplomatic efforts to manage sensitive maritime and sanctions-related disputes.
