Web Desk: Veteran Pakistani actress Saba Faisal has stirred conversation with her recent remarks about the role of domestic workers in shaping household dynamics, offering a candid perspective during a podcast appearance.
Speaking on a podcast hosted by Adnan Faisal, the television star said that house help can significantly influence the peace or discord within a home. She emphasized that their behavior often determines whether a household remains harmonious or becomes prone to conflict.
“I’ve mentioned this before in interviews,” she said. “The peace of a household largely depends on house help. They can either bring calm to your life or disrupt it. In many cases, they become a major cause of household conflicts.”
However, Faisal noted that her personal experience has been largely positive. She credited clear communication and firm boundaries as key reasons behind maintaining a peaceful environment in her home.
“I consider myself fortunate,” she explained. “My house help don’t engage in gossip with me, and that is also because I don’t entertain such conversations. They work hard, perform their duties efficiently, and in return, I respect their efforts and compensate them fairly.”
She added that attempts to spark gossip are immediately discouraged. “Whenever they try to say something about my daughter-in-law or others, I stop them right away. I make it clear that I am not interested in hearing such things,” she said. “If you set firm boundaries, they understand and refrain from spreading negativity.”
Faisal, who first gained recognition as a television announcer and newscaster before transitioning into acting, has remained a prominent figure in Pakistan’s entertainment industry for over two decades. She has appeared in numerous successful drama serials, earning a loyal fan following both on-screen and on social media.
Her recent comments have sparked debate online, with some agreeing that household management plays a critical role in family harmony, while others argue that broader interpersonal dynamics also contribute to domestic peace.
The actress, who recently performed Umrah with her sons and grandson, continues to stay active in the industry while sharing glimpses of her personal life with millions of followers.
