Former captain Younis Khan is likely to be assigned an important role in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
After being approached by the PCB, the legendary batter has offered his services for the betterment of cricket.
Younis Khan’s name is also included in the proposed list for the position of Director Domestic in the PCB.
Like Sarfaraz Ahmed and Misbah-ul-Haq, the board is keen to benefit from Younis Khan’s expertise to further improve cricket affairs.
Having scored over 10,000 runs in 118 Test matches, and representing the country in 265 ODIs and 25 T20 internationals, Younis Khan has also previously served as a coach of the national team.
PCB officials had formally contacted him a few days ago, to which he expressed his availability.
If matters are finalized, Younis Khan’s official appointment will be announced after approval from PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
Over the years, the PCB has been trying to promotinge the sport nationally and internationally, working to maintain high standards in both domestic and international cricket.
