Australian star spinner Adam Zampa, who has joined the Karachi Kings squad in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), revealed why he left the Indian Premier League (IPL).

He said that in the IPL, he was not receiving compensation that reflected his skills compared to other players.

In an interview with a local sports platform, Zampa explained that the IPL demanded a lot of time, and since the payment did not match his expertise, continuing to play there was not the right decision for him.

He added that initially, after leaving the IPL, he considered taking a break from cricket, but the opportunity to play in the PSL came unexpectedly, which he accepted and is now thoroughly enjoying.

Zampa, who recently became part of Karachi Kings, has impressed with his performance in the tournament and praised the overall standard of the PSL.

He also commended Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi, calling him an outstanding bowler, noting that every delivery from Afridi feels special.
