Web Desk: Pakistani security forces successfully thwarted a series of coordinated attacks launched by Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH) militants across several districts of Balochistan late Sunday, officials confirmed.

The terrorist group attempted to strike multiple targets simultaneously, including police and paramilitary outposts in Quetta, Mastung, and Kharan. However, alert security personnel detected the movements early and responded with heavy retaliatory fire at every location.

In the provincial capital of Quetta, terrorists targeted a police post in the Nosar area. The police personnel immediately returned fire, forcing the attackers to retreat. Simultaneously, FAH elements launched Under-Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) rounds and long-range fire at Mianghundi. Security forces responded timely, which compelled the insurgents to flee the scene under the cover of darkness.

Furthermore, a police patrol near the Western Bypass in Quetta came under UBGL fire. Despite the sudden nature of the assault, the police unit successfully averted the attack and reported no casualties or loss of equipment.

The violence extended into the Mastung district, where FAH carried out a distant fire raid on a Frontier Corps (FC) post near Isplinji. The paramilitary troops engaged the attackers and neutralized the threat. Similarly, another fire raid targeted the Lattar FC post in Kharan, but the garrisoned troops successfully thwarted the attempt.

Consequently, security forces across Balochistan remain on high alert. Military and police units have increased patrolling and intelligence-based operations to track the retreating terrorists. These failed incursions highlight the current state of readiness maintained by the security apparatus to counter organized insurgent activity in the region.
