For Pakistanis living in both Pakistan and United Kingdom, a major travel development has been announced as Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to resume direct flights to London after a six-year suspension.

According to the airline spokesperson, PIA will operate three weekly flights from Islamabad and one weekly flight from Lahore. The flights will be operated using Boeing 777 aircraft.

All flights to London will land at Terminal 4 of Heathrow Airport, marking the restoration of a key international route after six years.

The first flight from Islamabad will depart on March 29, 2026
The Lahore to London flight will begin on March 30, 2026

Initially, PIA will operate four weekly flights to London. After the resumption, the total number of weekly PIA flights to the UK will increase to seven.

The spokesperson highlighted that PIA has a 70+ year history on the London route, making it one of the airline’s earliest international destinations.

It is worth noting that before the suspension in 2020, PIA operated up to 10 weekly flights to London. The airline has indicated that the number of flights will be gradually increased in the coming months.
