Web Desk: The daughter of senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader and Senator Sherry Rehman has died after suffering a brain haemorrhage, family members said on Sunday. Marvi Malik was 35.

Relatives said she passed away in Karachi after several days of critical illness. She had been admitted to a private hospital in Clifton about five days earlier when her condition worsened suddenly.

Doctors provided intensive care, but her health continued to decline. She was placed on a ventilator three days before her death as medical teams worked to stabilise her, according to the family.

Despite those efforts, she could not recover and succumbed to the haemorrhage. Family sources said she remained in a critical state throughout her hospital stay, with her condition deteriorating further in the final days.

Funeral prayers are scheduled for Monday at 3:30 p.m. in DHA Phase 8, Karachi, after which she will be laid to rest at a nearby cemetery.

President Asif Ali Zardari expressed deep sorrow over the loss, offering prayers for the deceased and strength for her family. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also conveyed condolences, describing the death of a child as an immeasurable tragedy.

Messages of sympathy poured in from across the political spectrum, with leaders extending support to Senator Sherry Rehman and her family during their bereavement.
