Web Desk: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Monday expressed gratitude to the government and people of Pakistan for their solidarity with Iran amid tensions involving the United States and Israel.

In a message posted on social media in Urdu Araghchi said Iran remains steadfast and determined to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“Relying completely on Almighty God Iran stands firm” Araghchi said. “Iran stands to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity and Iran stands with determination and resilience.”

He added that Iran would continue to maintain its position despite external pressure.

Araghchi also thanked Pakistan’s leadership and its citizens for their strong support and solidarity with Iran.

“I sincerely thank the government and people of Pakistan” he said. “They have fully expressed unity and support for the government and people of Iran.”

According to Araghchi Pakistan demonstrated solidarity with Iran in the face of what he described as aggression by the United States and Israel.

The statement comes as tensions continue in the region with Iran frequently accusing the United States and Israel of hostile actions. At the same time Pakistan has repeatedly called for stability and dialogue in the Middle East.

Araghchi’s Urdu message drew attention online as it directly addressed Pakistani audiences and highlighted the close diplomatic ties between Islamabad and Tehran.
