Al-Quds Day is observed across the country on March 13, 2026, with rallies and demonstrations taking place in multiple cities to show support for the Palestinian cause.
The event, takes place annually on the last Friday of Ramadan, draws activists, religious groups, and citizens to express solidarity with Palestinians.
The rallies will be held by various civil society groups and religious organizations, emphasizing Pakistan’s continued political and moral support for Palestine. Officials urge participants to maintain discipline and avoid any disruptions while voicing their message.
Amid the event happening tomorrow , officials have planned a comprehensive traffic plan for commuters to ensure seamless traffic flow across main road.
The plan is as follow:
Islamabad
Red zone entry entry will only be through Margalla road and the Marriot hotel side. All other entrances are expected to remain closed.
Besides, Fazal -e- Haq road towards China chowk will be closed. Commuters are advised to use Jinnah Avenue or the 7th Avenue.
Moreover, Major gatherings are anticipated near G-6 Markaz and may move towards D chowk.Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
Lahore
Large processions are expected from Islampura towards the Lower Mall and heavy congestions are expected around Mall Road,Data darbar and the Waleed City. Commuters are advised to use alternative routes.
Karachi
The main procession will start from Ancholi and will move towards M.A Jinnah road. M.A Jinnah road will be blocked with containers from Numaish Chowrangi to Tower, srarting early Friday morning.Traffic will be diverted towards Shahrah -e- Quaideen, Nishtar road and Corridor 3. Avoid the Saddar and Express market areas.
