Web Desk: Security forces have successfully repulsed multiple attacks by Afghan Taliban in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, causing significant militant casualties, according to Minister of Information Atta Ullah Tarar.
In Northern Balochistan, the Afghan Taliban launched physical assaults on 16 locations across Qilla Saifullah, Noshki, and Chaman districts while conducting fire raids on 25 additional sites. Security forces countered all attacks, killing 27 Taliban fighters and injuring dozens more. One soldier from FC Balochistan North was killed defending the nation, while five others sustained injuries.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, militants attempted a physical attack at one location and conducted fire raids on 12 others. Pakistani forces successfully repelled all attacks without any casualties. Forty Afghan Taliban fighters were reported killed during overnight operations.
Minister Tarar confirmed that follow-up operations are continuing to ensure security along the border areas. A detailed update on Operation Ghazb lil Haq is expected to be provided later in the afternoon.
The operation highlights Pakistan’s continued commitment to combating insurgent threats along its western borders while maintaining the safety of its forces and local communities.
