No child left behind education drive

slamabad: Federal Minister for Education Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has announced the launch of a nationwide “No Child Left Behind” campaign, stating that not a single child should remain deprived of education.

Speaking at a press conference, the minister said that under the campaign, a comprehensive review of educational institutions across the country will be conducted, including their numbers, condition, and available facilities. In case of shortage of school buildings, arrangements will be made to conduct classes in mosques and homes where necessary. He further assured that 100 percent school enrollment will be ensured in Islamabad and surrounding areas.

The minister emphasized that full implementation of Article 25-A of the Constitution is the government’s responsibility. He announced that a “Federal Action Plan 2025–2030” has been prepared for out-of-school children. Under the plan, authorities will conduct door-to-door identification and mapping of children, introduce second shifts in schools, and provide alternative education pathways along with accelerated learning programs.

He added that digital dashboards will be used for transparent monitoring of admissions and attendance to ensure that poverty and geographical distance do not become barriers to education. The minister urged parents, teachers, and the media to support the government in this national mission, stating that education is a shared responsibility
