Imran Khan enjoys exclusive privileges at Adiala Jail, report

Web desk: For the first time, the facilities available to former prime minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail have been disclosed. The Supreme Court received a report from the jail superintendent that has drawn widespread attention.

According to the report, Imran Khan’s jail compound consists of seven cells. A corridor measuring 57 feet long and 14 feet wide leads to his cell. The compound also includes a lawn covering areas 35 and 37, where he spends time reading books and newspapers while enjoying sunlight.

The seven cell compound can accommodate 30 to 35 prisoners. Khan has access to exercise equipment, including a cycling machine and other gym facilities.

The report provides details about his meals. For breakfast, he consumes dates, walnuts, honey, coffee, porridge, lassi, warm milk and chia seeds. He also drinks juices made from masmi and pomegranate. For lunch, he receives desi chicken, mutton, salad, mixed pickles, potato chips, fried eggs and mixed lentils. In the evening, his snacks include almonds, raisins, coconut powder, milk, dates, bananas and apples in the form of a shake.

The report emphasizes that Imran Khan has access to natural light and fresh air throughout the day. He is kept in a secure and safe environment and high quality bedding is provided.

Overall, the report highlights that Imran Khan’s confinement at Adiala Jail includes ample facilities for comfort, exercise, nutrition and mental well-being.
