Strict action will now be taken against individuals operating taxis and bike-hailing services without registration in the federal capital. The district administration has decided to formally register all online taxi and bike-hailing services.

Under the decision, complete details of all drivers and vehicles will be collected. Islamabad Police will have access to all the data through the registration form, and drivers will be required to upload passenger details on the app. Drivers will not be allowed to carry passengers without entering the passenger’s CNIC number.

Formal registration will begin from tomorrow, and a strict crackdown will be launched against unregistered vehicles, bike-hailing services, and drivers.
