Iran shows more readiness to talks this time: US president

US iran talks in Muscat

US President Donald Trump has said that talks with Iran went well and that the parties are close to a deal.


Speaking to the media aboard Air Force One, President Trump said that very good negotiations are underway. In his view, the talks held on Friday produced positive results.He added that the second round of negotiations will take place early next week.


President Trump further stated that Iran is far more prepared to move forward this time compared to a year and a half ago.


It is worth noting that talks between the United States and Iran were held on Friday in Muscat, the capital of Oman.


Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had said that it was decided to continue the negotiations; however, before that, officials from both countries will hold consultations in their respective capitals.
