MUZAFFARABAD: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir expressing solidarity with the Kashmiris reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir
He expressed these views during a visit to Muzaffarabad on Thursday and expressed full support and solidarity with Kashmiri brothers and sisters, according to ISPR.
During the visit, he paid homage to the martyrs of the freedom struggle by laying a wreath at the Jammu and Kashmir Martyrs Monument. He offered rich tributes to the Shuhada of the Kashmir movement, acknowledging their enduring legacy of valour, courage, and selfless sacrifice.
While interacting with local notables and veterans, the COAS and CDF reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that Indian atrocities, continued human rights violations, and Hindutva-driven excesses have failed to suppress the legitimate struggle and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to the Kashmir cause, the COAS and CDF emphasized that Kashmir would soon witness the dawn of freedom in accordance with the will and destiny of its people. He further stressed that Pakistan would continue to highlight the Kashmir issue at all relevant international forums, in complete solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers and sisters, until a just and lasting resolution is achieved in line with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The COAS and CDF also commended the unwavering dedication, high morale, professional excellence, and combat readiness of officers and soldiers deployed in Kashmir despite challenging operational conditions. He underscored the importance of maintaining peak operational preparedness, vigilance, and seamless inter-service synergy across all domains to effectively deter and decisively respond to any hostile provocation.
During the visit, the COAS and CDF visited a forward post and interacted with troops deployed on the frontlines. He reiterated that any act of aggression would be met with a swift and befitting response, and affirmed that the Armed Forces remained fully prepared to counter both conventional and hybrid threats in an evolving security environment.
Earlier upon arrival, the COAS and CDF was received by the Commander Rawalpindi Corps.
