The Chief Minister of Punjab has inaugurated electric buses in Rajanpur and, on this occasion, also announced the provision of 3 to 5 acres of government-owned agricultural land to the poor.
Addressing the ceremony, the Chief Minister said that the mission to transform Rajanpur has already begun and that development work will now take place in the district. She said she had always wished to do something for Rajanpur and that Rajanpur is close to the hearts of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz. She emphasized that the development of underdeveloped areas is their priority.
She said that the PML-N is often accused of carrying out development projects only in Lahore, while Rajanpur has remained underdeveloped for decades—but that will no longer be the case. She added that the same buses currently running on the roads of Lahore will now also operate in Rajanpur.
She stated that electric buses are being introduced in remote districts of Punjab as well and that a network of electric buses is being expanded across the entire province. She assured that relief will be provided to the public in terms of bus quality and fares.
She announced that 15 buses have arrived for Rajanpur, adding that no district will be left behind. She said that those who raised slogans about creating a separate South Punjab province did nothing, and now Rajanpur will be provided facilities comparable to those in Lahore and Islamabad.
