Rain along with snowfall is expected in Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas in the next 24 hours, according to Meteorological Department.
The Meteorological Department spokesperson said that in Lahore, there will be a mix of clouds and sunshine, with low chances of rain. However, rainfall is expected in the Potohar region, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, and Gujranwala.
DG PDMA, Irfan Ali Kathia, stated that all relevant departments have been alerted in view of the possible situation, and staff will remain present in emergency control rooms 24 hours a day.
He urged tourists in Murree to take precautionary measures and follow the issued instructions. According to the DG, various facilitation centers have been set up at different locations in Murree for the convenience of tourists.
The Meteorological Department said that in Lahore, the minimum temperature is expected to be 10°C and the maximum around 22°C. Citizens can contact the PDMA helpline 1129 in case of any emergency.
Meanwhile, in Peshawar, the Meteorological Department reported that most districts of the province will experience cold and partly cloudy weather, while severe cold is expected in the upper hilly districts.
In Chitral, Upper Dir, Swat, Shangla, Abbottabad, Kohistan, Kurram, and North Waziristan, heavy winds, thunderstorms, rain, and light snowfall in the mountains are expected.
The department also reported that in Sawabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, and D.I. Khan, fog may occur at night and in the morning at some places.
The minimum temperatures recorded are: -7°C in Kalam, -5°C in Malam Jabba, -1°C in Drosh, and 0°C in Chitral.
